My sister and I make a great team. She does the modeling, and I do the picture taking. It's a win-win situation! I think she did a pretty great job, if I do say so myself.
This shoot was based on the idea of being present in nature-- listening, contemplating, feeling the warmth of the sun and the cool of the wind. We are faced with so many distractions that it is all too easy lose track of the things that actually matter. It's important to spend time with family and take trips during the ever-fleeting Alaskan summer. Sometimes it is important to just slow down, be present, and just listen.
